Another smart tip is to create a gap the width of three fingers between the back of the knee joint and the front edge of your chair. Your feet should be flat on the floor and your upper body within a 30° angle from an upright position. Another tip for healthy sitting is to keep the lumbar support of the chair’s backrest on your lumbar region. The position of your head is also very important and you should keep it aligned with your spine. Don’t forget to support your forearms, tuck in your elbows and keep your shoulders low and relaxed. This position is crucial to prevent back tension. Avoid bending to the sides or slouching. Whatever you do, don’t sit for more than 50 minutes at a time without standing up and taking a walk.
