Amino acids – Basis of a healthy body

Tags

If you know the first thing about diet and nutrition, you probably know what proteins are and how important they are to all living organisms. They are the building blocks of our muscles and without proteins, we would basically wither and die. However, proteins are in fact complex chains of compounds known as amino acids.
There are 20 amino acids in total, and our bodies have evolved to a point where an adult person can generate 11 of these on its own. These 11 amino acids are known as non-essential amino acids and they are regularly produced inside our bodies. The other nine amino acids, known as essential amino acids, must be ingested through diet and this is where things start to get interesting from a nutritional point of view.
We all understand that a healthy diet needs to have protein in it, but not all protein is the same. Some proteins, known as complete proteins, contain all the amino acids and they are sufficient on their own. Others need to be combined in order to get all the necessary amino acids into our amino acid pool. Additionally, amino acids supplements are often used to add extra amino acids and either add the missing aminos or generate extra protein through the intake of surplus amino acids.
In this text, you can find out more about why amino acids are so important, how you can get them through diet and amino acids supplements and what impact they have on your body.

The role of essential amino acids

All amino acids, essential and non-essential, serve as building blocks of proteins in our body. Since proteins are so important, it is crucial to have a sufficient amount of each amino acid in our system in order for new proteins to grow and our body to develop as it is supposed to. If you are going for extra muscle or you are an athlete, you will likely want even more amino acids in order to bulk up and add that extra pound or two of lean muscle.
The thing about essential amino acids is that they have to be obtained through diet, as our bodies are not able to produce them. The essential amino acids that we must find in food include Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Phentylalanine, Threonine, Tryptophan and Valine.
Meat based protein usually contains decent amounts of each of these amino acids, so if you are eating enough meat in your diet you will be fine on this front. Vegetarians and vegans, on the other hand, need to combine different plant based protein rich foods, as many of these do not contain certain amino acids, and you really need them all for proper muscle maintenance.
Most people think that once you eat protein it somehow just gets added to your muscle mass, but this is not the case. What really happens is that your body completely disintegrates the protein you eat into amino acids and then uses all the built up amino acids to form new proteins. This way it does not matter where the amino acids came from, but rather only that you have enough of each, which is why combining different proteins or eating a single complete protein really makes practically no difference.

How do I get enough?

If you are eating a versatile diet with meat, eggs, milk and all other animal based products in it, you will be getting enough amino acids at least for basic maintenance. On the other hand, if you are eating a vegan or vegetarian diet, you will need to go into specifics of the foods you are eating and make sure you are combining in such ways that you are covered on each essential amino acid.
However, just getting enough does not mean that you are doing the best you could be. In fact, there are plenty of reasons to get more amino acids than the bare minimum, and using amino acids supplements has shown to be a very reasonable way of increasing lean muscle mass and general health among athletes.
Vit2GO! products each use a blend of essential amino acids in order to optimize their effects. Using Immune System Booster, Hangover Aid and Natural Energy Booster will not only improve your general health but it may also help you build up your muscle, look leaner and be stronger in general.
The main purpose of each of these products may not be to build up extra protein, but when you consider the importance of protein to all your bodily processes, it actually makes plenty of sense that these products would aim to do that as well. In Hangover Aid, for instance, essential amino acids are introduced in a smart way in order to replenish everything you have lost due to intoxication.

Immune System Booster and Natural Energy Booster are products designed to improve your overall health and resilience, so essential amino acids are only natural additions to these supplements. If you are looking for products that will keep you healthy and ready for the day’s challenges, while at the same time helping you keep your body’s mass and healthy muscles and bones, Hangover Aid, Immune System Booster and Natural Health Booster by Vit2GO! will help you without a doubt.
